Judi is a NYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Registered Dance Movement Therapist with an MS in Dance Movement Therapy and a trained Authentic Movement practitioner. She has worked extensively with children teaching creative movement, in the classroom teaching pre-k through 1st grade, and in middle schools as a primary counselor. Judi has also worked in psychiatry with adults living with mental illness ranging from Schizophrenia, Bi-polar disorder, Depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; Dementia; Alzheimer's Disease; Substance abuse issues; HIV/AIDS; and Cultural adjustment issues with the Latino community.
As a dance movement psychotherapist, Judi is passionate about the trans-formative potential of moving through life's most challenging situations. Her therapeutic interventions and perspectives embrace the psycho-therapeutic use of the body through movement, the creative process and expressive arts to promote mental, physical, spiritual health and growth in the individual. She is available for individual sessions and group therapy with children and adults of all ages in all stages of life.
